How can I insert images and gifs into my email signature?

Hello,

In the new web app the email signature doesn't have an insert image button.  I have tried to copy images in from a browser and from email messages.  It appears to work but the animated gif is no longer animated and in some cases within our company when the message is sent the image doesn't appear at all.

How do I correctly insert images/gifs into the signature?

I can insert static images by copy-pasting but animated gifs do not remain animated. Then the images appear to be in the signature but once the message is sent they do not appear at all.

I have this same exact issue as Belinda is having. The insert image icon does not allow you to click it so there is no option to upload an image from a file on the computer. If you copy and past by right clicking or ctrl+C, and right click paste or ctrl+V the image shows up and looks like it will work, but as Belinda pointed out, the image disappears once the message is sent. Just a black spot where the image is supposed to be. I've tried dragging and dropping from a file into the signature box and that doesn't work either. An online forum suggested opening the image in a web tab and to copy and paste from there - still didn't work.

I have also tried your suggestion of different browsers and private mode. I've used safari and chrome on a mac, and chrome and internet explorer on my Wife's PC - that made no difference. I used both normal and private versions of those browsers.

I also tried adjusting the signature on the outlook program downloaded on my work laptop, and it worked perfectly, but when I go back to outlook.com, the signature doesn't transfer over. Still the same issue. I've tried every work around and have gotten nowhere.

    Dear Belinda,

I am an independent advisor, and I am trying to help other users in Community with my experience in Microsoft products.

In order to get an image to the signature it is enough to copy/paste the image to the signature box https://outlook.live.com/mail/options/mail/mess... I just have checked this and changed my image and it works. More about signatures you will find here https://support.office.com/en-us/article/create...

If you cannot paste it, then it might be a browser issue. Try to use another browser, and In Private mode. Sometimes extensions or cookies can block authorization. It is also recommended to clear cache and cookies from time to time. In this article you will find the way how to delete the cache and cookies for most of the browsers https://www.wikihow.com/Delete-Tracking-Cookies

    Dear Belinda,

Do you have Office 365 or just a Microsoft account ? If you have Office 365, you should have the insert image option. And this is only for images, even if you will insert gif, it will be inserted as image. For Microsoft Account this option is greyed out and only copy paste will work.

If you want to have option to insert gif's, all I can suggest is to submit your feedback to developers here https://outlook.uservoice.com/ If there will be enough votes, maybe developers will implement this option.

I do have office 365 and there seems to be no option to insert in the signature area.  Am I missing something?
