Outlook Conversation View

Hi All!

I’m trying to recreate a conversation view I had in Outlook 2016 (I believe) in Outlook 365.

There had been a way to view conversations as a “cascade” or “staricase” when expanded. Essentially, every response in the thread would indent and breaking the thread would start a new cascade.

I’ve been playing with setting and searching for a few days with no luck.

Is it possible to recreate the view in Outlook 365? Alternative view suggestions that are easy to follow would be appreciated as well ! :)

Thank you,

Jukia

As in Outlook on the web? Or the subscription version of Outlook 2016?

No on Outlook on the web.

Yes on Outlook installed on the desktop. It's the classic indented view. View menu, Conversation settings.

BTW, if you have the new simplified ribbon, it's under Current View button, Conversation settings.

    Hi Diane,

I had tried classic indented view prior to posting, but it wasn’t looking like I remembered.

Based on your suggestion, it tried fidgeting with a few more settings.

I had message preview turned on. Turning off message preview and turning on classic indented view gave me the view i was looking for.

Thank you so much for your help! I can’t tell you how much this helps me

    Best,

    Julia
