Finder Share Option not listing Outlook Mail as option to attach file

The option for Outlook Mail is greyed out.

This is considered a third party extension.

File transfer is available for Airdrop, Notes, Messages,  OneNote, Things, Day One.

What can I do?

Thanks

Coldwell, I don't think it's supported. It requires a sharing extension for the system. OneNote provides one for instance, but Outlook doesn't soit can't be listed in the Share menu in macOS X.

    Hi All,

I checked it again and contacted the Apple support to confirm this, and I found that the feature sharing files via Outlook for Mac is not supported by Mac now.

It's not that it's no longer supported… It has never been available in the Share menu. As I was saying, that requires an extension for the System that Outlook doesn't provide.

And I posted my capture with OneNote right in the middle for a reason: The issue is known to Microsoft and obviously, he solution too since it's provided through OneNote. It's just not yet implemented for Outlook.

    Hi Allforcacd,

To confirm if it is related to the settings in your Mac, I suggest that create a new user in your Mac and try it with the new user of your Mac  to see how it goes. If any updates from the dedicated Outlook for Mac support channel, welcome to post it here.

    Best regards,

    Coldwell

Thank you, Coldwell.  This has been the setup since moving from Apple Mail to Outlook for Mac.  It doesn't solve the issue.

    Hi Allforcacd,

Please try to set Outlook for Mac as the default mail application as the following steps show in your Mac to see if it works for you.

    Run the Mail application.

On the Mail menu, click Preferences.

    Click the General tab.

For Default email reader, select Microsoft Outlook.

If the issue persists after the steps above, I suggest contact the experts to request further assistance in Outlook for Mac build-in support channel which focuses on Outlook for Mac issue.
