What is an Email Subscription?

Hey, I was wondering exactly what an email subscription is in outlook. There is a subscriptions section that I was viewing and I accidentally unsubscribed from an email that I didn't mean to. Now I can't go back and I want to still be subscribed to them. The email is in a section that says "Lists you've unsubscribed from" and I want it to go back to the subscriptions section. Here is a picture of what I mean... I want the two vineyard vines emails at the bottom to go back into subscribed. I also want to know what a subscription is in the first place.

    Hi Tsavo,

You need to go to vineyard vines and resubscribe to their newsletters.

A subscription is a newsletter or mailing list you signed up to receive... outlook.com picks up subscription information from the message header and adds it to the list of subscriptions. But some spammers will include subscription information to help get past spam filters - your list looks spam-free - but if it has spammers on it, you shouldn't try to unsubscribe as it just confirms you have a valid address and they'll put you on more spam lists.

Correct, it should move back to the subscribed list.

Okay that makes sense, cause once I get another email, outlook will recognize the address and put it back on my subscriptions correct? However, I have been getting like 10 vineyard vines emails a day and now I am not getting any, I will let you know if I get one though.

I have gone to the website and have made sure the box for getting email is true. I have also put the emails on the mailing list in my outlook in the picture below. However the emails are still in the unsubscribed section and I am still not getting emails from them yet.

Blocking sends all mail from that address to your junk email folder. To unblock, go into Settings > View all Outlook Settings > Junk email and remove the address or domain from the blocked list.

Unsubscribe sends a message to the sender asking them to stop sending you mail. In most causes, its fully automatic - a special unsubscribe message is sent to the mail server and it removes your address. You need to go back to the sender's website and subscribe if you want to get their mail again.
