oledata.mso being sent with emails

I understand that oledata.mso being sent on all emails with an office file attachment is expected behaviour.

However, a lot of recipient's cannot receive my emails because oledata.mso is blocked in their email firewall as it is marked as an executable.

I cannot alter their firewall settings.

Can I disable the oledata.mso file from being sent from my outlook?

The oledata.mso file was embedded in my email signature. I logged into Outlook through my web browser as here I could see the oledata.mso file being sent. I deleted the file and then sent the email to myself. Then in Microsoft Outlook for windows I copied the signature from this email which had the file removed into my signatures area.

    Hi Oliver,

    1. Here is the subscription information. I am sending from Microsoft Outlook on Windows 10.
    2. I am sending from ( Removed by moderator for protecting your privacy) which I believe was a Office365 account.
    3. I cannot see the attachment in Outlook while sending, or after sending. However, the recipient can see the attachment. If I send an email to my windows live email address I can see the attachment from there.

    Here is an example of a large corporation who is unable to receive my emails;

    Hi Shane,

May I know where you sent out all emails that associated with an attachment ( oledata.mso)? Outlook Client or Outlook Web App? If you are using Outlook Client to send out the emails, first please completely close your Outlook Client and then navigate to the email web side to check when you send out emails there, do you still got the attachment. For example you are using Office 365 account, you can sign into https://outlook.office365.com/owa/ and send some test emails there to have a check.

Moreover, if you send emails on the email web side didn’t have the attachments, I want to double confirm can you see the attachment file before you sending out the emails in the outlook clinet? Or you don’t see it, just after you sending out the emails and the recipients can see it?  If you can see the attachment file before sending out the emails in the outlook client, in this case, you can try to open your outlook client with safe mode and then see if it can make any difference.  For more details, please refer to https://support.microsoft.com/en-sg/help/4026478/outlook-open-outlook-in-safe-mode.

If the suggestions above don’t work, I’d like to collect some more formation to help you do more research about it:

    1.       The version of your Outlook Client, please click File > Office Account and then take a full screenshot about it to me.

    2.       What types accounts you are using in the Outlook to send out emails? Office 365 account or some other types accounts?

    3.       Can you see the attachment inside the email before you sending out? Or just  after you sending out the email, you can see? Please take some generated screenshots about it to me, thanks.

    Regards,

    Oliver

The oledata.mso file is not sent when using the online email website instead. Though, is it possible to prevent it being sent when using Microsoft Outlook for Windows?
