    Dear Rachel,

I am an independent advisor, and I am trying to help other users in Community with my experience in Microsoft products.

Please login here https://outlook.live.com/mail/options/general/t... and select the first dropdown and choose English and than click on second button from the left to save the settings. You can also login to your account in Google Chrome and click anywhere in the tab with rigtht mouse button and use option translate to English.

Go to sent folder and check the email that you have sent ( especially "from" ), go to https://account.microsoft.com/account/Account?l... and sign to your account, click more actions, edit profile and check your name there (if there is not your name, rename it ),

Also please check if automatic forwarding is enabled https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Turn-o... and disable it.

Also please do not share your account and password, pay attention to suspicious emails and do not access links there https://support.office.com/en-us/article/deal-w...

    Hello RachelBarton

Thanks for posting Microsoft Comunnity. I'm Marcos Independent Advisor.

What do you need exactly? Do you want to change the language of your account? what is the error that you're getting? Have you tried to do it on different browser?

If your account has been hacked the first thing you should do is clean your PC of viruses or malware before you change your password. Run antivirus and then make sure to change strong password.

Before sign in account, Clear your web browser's cache, cookies, and history, depending the browser you're using.

After you finish that, try to change language in Outlook.com:

At the top of the page, select Settings Settings > View all Outlook settings.

Select General > Language and time.

Select the language, date format, time format, and time zone you want to use.

    Select Save.

Let me know how it goes or you need further assistance.

You can check the following source:
