Ad Displayed of Right Side Of Page: Issue Resolved

Latest Version Of Firefox

When I signed into my @hotmail.com and @live.com accounts this evening (Thurs), there is an ad displayed on the right side of the page.

Ads have not displayed before in either account so:

1a. Why are ads suddenly appearing now?

b. What setting needs to be changed in order to turn them off?

    Hi my name is Adam I'm an independent adviser, I would like to help you with your question today,

    Ads have been on outlook.com free email accounts for quite sometime. Unless you subscribe to premium features, or office 365 for an ad free experience.

    A possible reason for ads not appearing before is if you were using an ad blocker on your browser before that is now turned off.

    Hi Shopper1,

    I am an Independent Advisor on the outlook.com forum helping others.

    If you have a paid version of Office 365 there is no Advertising. If you are using the free web version then you will continue to see the advertising on the right hand side. I have found by adjusting the zoom up and then back down it lessens the space used for advertising. So unless you purchase office 365 you will continue to get the advertisements. Sorry everyone seems to be advertising something these days and it's annoying.
