How do I get a report of bouncing email addresses?

From a single O365 email account we use to send notifications.  We'd like to remove the addresses that are no longer valid, but trying to do so without having to individually extract from each bounce notice email, looking for more of a report.  Thanks in advance for your help.

I actually figured out my own workaround, so will note here in case it helps someone else in the future.

I did a search/filter in Outlook to isolate only bounced emails.

Then also within Outlook I exported that search in 'comma separated values' format

I imported that file into Excel, then sorted by the bounced email address column.

Lastly, I removed duplicated addresses in Excel, by running <Data> <Advanced> <Filter Unique Records Only>

Remaining was an excel sheet with the bouncing email addresses.

Hello Omar Rodriguez,

I understand that it could be very helpful for your business if all invalid email addresses show in one report. Unfortunately, this cannot be achieved. Because this is how mail flow works.

Each email address is stored on the mail server independently. After you enter the address and click send, Outlook will find the corresponding mail server to deliver the message. If the address is invalid, the target mail server cannot be found, so Exchange server will tell you that specific emails address is invalid.

As a workaround, you can type “undeliverable” in your Outlook search box to filter all NDRs. I hope this can help you a little bit.

Meanwhile, I did a lot of researches and found that Outlook VBA or Marcos might help you detect the invalid email addresses and remove them automatically. You can ask the VBA question in Stack Overflow. Engineers and members have professional experiences to help you with it.

Your understanding is highly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Sylvie
