Exporting Outlook contacts to ICloud

Community

I use my Apple phone for work and as such i'm desperate for my outlook contacts to automatically sync to my phone and icloud. However after reading all the help guides I cannot get anything to work.

If I try to import a single contact manually, I get the error message 'this v card cannot be imported as it contains invalid data'

If i open the icloud control panel the option to click mail is shaded out so cannot be activated.

What i really want is for the outlook contacts to auto update. To note I  use the outlook app on my phone.

Please help!

    Hi jordyrow,

Thanks for posting in our forum. As far as I know, to sync contacts/calendar between iCloud and Outlook, you can follow the steps below:

    1.       Download and install iCloud for Windows.

    2.       After installation, launch the iCloud app and sign in with your Apple ID and password.

    3.       In the iCloud app, select the option to sync Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks, then click Apply.

    4.       Once the setup has finished, launch Outlook. Your iCloud email, contacts, and calendars should now be synchronizing with Outlook.

    For your reference: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/use-icloud-for-windows-to-synchronize-mail-calendar-and-contacts-with-outlook-5f9a9b02-4726-4f64-b2ce-478c1f8f3ef2

In your situation, I’d like to confirm why your Apple ID ends with @hot… instead of @icloud. Do you have an Apple ID which ends with @icloud? If so, try to re-sign into iCloud for windows using the @icloud account and check if the Mail, Contacts, Calendars and Tasks With Outlook option is available.

    Hope everything will be fine:-)

    Best Regards,

    Huni
