Or are you trying to embed it to your website?

I've been trying to generate a URL link for .ics files to create a button that people within my organisation can click to automatically add an event to their Outlook calendar.
I can create the .ics file, but I can't upload it into the platform I want. I also can't seem to generate a URL option for it, and all the third party applications that claim to do this only provide another .ics link rather than the URL for it - which has me going in circles.
After lots of web searching, I feel like I'm missing something to how this can be done (I've seen it used on nearly every event registration site I access and many marketing emails) would love any advice, thanks!!

I found the answer from the below website which is working perfectly!
FYI in case anyone else asks in future.
If you are trying to embed it to a website , you can upload the ICS file to onedrive.live.com , and then you may generate an embed code for the file.
Hi NIKOLA,
Thanks for reaching out! My name is Dane and i'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.
You don't need to create a link for your ics file, you can just attach to an email, once the receiver gets the email, they will just have to open it and the outlook application will prompt them if they want to add the calendar entry to their outlook calendar.
That's awesome , i'll add this to my templates in case someone needs it. Thank Nikola! You have a great day and you stay safe.
