    Hello shemomo

You can safely ignore/delete the message. Microsoft would never send you a message asking you to call them. This is nothing more then a scam to get personal information but must admit asking people to phone about an email account is a new one (at least first time I've heard of this one).

I received an email saying there was suspicious activity on my account. Someone had supposedly logged in to my account in Russia on a recrnt date. Was it me? If not i dhojld call the number 844 240 2234 to speak with the  Microsoft Security Team.

I thought it was fraud. Spent over an hour making 6 calls to Microsoft and getting disconnected, transferred, you name it. The number i used was listed in another forum as a way to reach live oerson at Microsoft. 800-642-7677

After you jump through all these calls and try all the various routing numbers you eventually get to a recording that  offers paid help. If you decline the recorded voice says, very sweetly, "good-bye!" You don't know how badly I'd like to say goodbye to Microsoft.   My great grandchildren find it facinating when I explain customer service when I was young.
