I am wondering why there is an arrangement by date sent in the inbox.

I believe the arrangement should have a different list in the sent section that the one in the inbox.

It is really weird to arrange emails by the date sent in the inbox.

    Hi nightearth,

Thank you for the pointing out.

You can refer to the https://support.office.com/en-us/article/customize-views-in-outlook-for-mac-257d7104-5c90-4ee3-bad2-9935ab424c64 to customize views in Outlook for mac.

In that case the "date sent" should not be there when sorting messages in the inbox, that is certianly rational. You can vote your request at thehttps://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/293343-outlook-for-macOutlook for Mac User Voiceand related team will be notified.

    Appreciate again for your finding.

    Yours Sincerely,

    George

You will only have 'received' if you had set the option to for a delivery receipt, and the problem with those is that they an be blocked by the server, or ignored by the receiver
