Boomerang add-in for Outlook on desktop

Hi, I installed the Boomerang add-in but found it to be full of glitches when using it with Outlook desktop - continuing to move items to the 'pause' folder after the pause should have automatically stopped, duplicating items into my inbox rather than just moving them back in there at the appropriate time, and completely no response when trying to use the (paid for) 'suggest times' and other calendar related functions.

But these functions worked perfectly well in Office 365, and Baydin, the developers, have worked hard to try and resolve the issues in my desktop, without success.  They referred me to Microsoft as they cannot see any reason at their end why it wouldn't work; I've uninstalled and had to cancel my account.

Incredibly frustrating as it should be a real life-saver in terms of managing my work life; and I can see from reviews of the add-in that I'm not the only one having problems like this.

Any suggestions?

    Hi Jane,

Thank you for posting your issue on Microsoft Community. Based on the description “these functions worked perfectly well in Office 365”, I understand that the Boomerang add-in is perfectly works on Outlook Web App Office 365 but not working as expected in Outlook desktop client.

May I know which Outlook 365 channel version are you using (e.g. Monthly Channel 1910 12130.20410)? Please provide us with the detailed information screenshot, see What version of Outlook do I have?

However, I have tested on my side using current latest Monthly Channel 1910 12130.20410 and Semi-Annual Channel version 1902 11328.20480 but can’t replicate this behavior.

If you are not using the version mention above, please update to those version to see whether the problem still occurs.

Moreover, if you still having problem then please provide us with the detailed steps video about the issue via the Private Message for further analysis.

Your patience and cooperation are highly appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Shyamal
