Also Please try Sfc /scannow in the elevated command prompt (Admin)
and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Also Press windows key and r
Type Prefetch Hit enter
and delete the cache files
And Perform a restart to the pc

Sometimes the windows need some time to perform all the updates and installations. And if the windows is Updating In the background It will use the Hard Disk to write and perform the task
