The new accessibility checker wants me to add an "alt text" to the image that appears in my signature block.

It seems I can only add "alt text" from the body of the message. obviously I am not going to do this every time I send a message.  How do I add "alt text" to the image in my signature?

    Hello MattewMPW,

Regarding to your requirement, you can add it through Signature Editor. To do this, you can follow the steps below:

    1.  Click File > Options > Mail > Signatures to open the signature editor.

    2.  Right click on the image in your signature and select Picture.

    3.  Choose Alt Text tab and type in your alt text.

If you still need further assistance or I misunderstand your meaning, please feel free to let me know.

    Regards,

    That worked.

In the body of the message you can right click on the image and select "alt text" directly from the context menu.  That option is not available via the context menu when you are editing the signature.  They should add this for consistency.

    Thanks!
