Removing Recycle bin from navigation for user

Hi,

I have enabled SharePoint server publishing infrastructure to remove the recycle bin but it has moved the navigation bar to left side from top. Is there any way to keep the navigation on top keeping the feature on? And its not giving option to change the look to move the navigation back to horizontal until i disable the publishing feature.

According to my research and testing, as you said, the horizontal navigation bar will disappear unless the feature is turned off.

Hi @Audi86 ,
I tested it in my environment, and indeed quick launch and top link bar appear at the same time.

After the feature is turned on, the two are merged into Navigation, which can be found and set in the Site settings. However, the time to appear after the top link bar is modified is not very stable. In my test, it took 4 days to appear.

@YanliJiangMSFT-7045 ok, so navigation will shift to vertical by design and cannot be kept horizontal unless the SharePoint server publishing infrastructure feature is turned off. that's the design limitation unfortunately then.
