.I use 'Outlook on the web for business (Office 365)'. i access it both on a wired desktop and a laptop using wifi.

There are no error messages. The attachments are simply not there.

I haven't tried anything yet as I couldn't find an answer under the help files!

Can you alsotell me if messages 'disappear' once i are close to our storage limit please? i seem to be losing them. I wonder if I have inadvertently deleted them myself?  If I press delete on an individual email using the right hand drop down arrow next to the 'Reply Al' button, does it delete just that individual one, or the whole conversation? Ditto when I press the 'bin' icon in the 'Inbox' pane?

I had the same issue, and one work around is to:

Click on New message, Attach, Browse cloud locations, Recent attachments, and scroll the list until you find the one you're missing.

It seems that saving attachments to the cloud is a default feature in the Outlook app, so hopefully it was saved there.

    Hope this helps!

Hello I have a similar issue.  When I reply to a sender's message that included an attachment, the attachment disappears, even though the paperclip icon still appears in the listing.  I know that by default the sender's attachment does not accompany the reply, but I expect it will remain with the sender's message.

My workaround is to save the attachment before I reply, because it will not be available in my reply or the original message.

If I elect to reply and make the sender's message an attachment in my reply, the attachment may be included.  But I want the sender's message to appear below my reply.

Is this issue connected to conversation groups?

I have Windows 10, and Outlook 365 app.  Thanks for any help.

I have the same problem.  I wish they would address this.

    Hi ocean man123456,

For first question,  I suggest you check if the related setting was turned on: go Settings (Gear Icon) > View all Outlook settings > Mail > Layout > Inline previews > Show attachments in message list.

And may I know if you can see the attachment when you click attachment icon? See the screenshot I shared.

About the exchange mailbox storage limit, the mailbox owner will receive warning message about sending/receiving when the mailbox is approaching the quota limit before exceeding the storage limit (generally 50 GB). An account that exceeds the lower quota limit will not be able to send mail, attempts to send mail will show an error message.

If you click the trash icon to delete the originally received message, it will delete the whole conversation, Deleting the middle-replied message just deletes the single one, see my screenshot:

Finally, if you click 'Pin' icon in the Inbox pane, it will pin the whole conversion to keep it at the top of the folder.

Hope it helps, and if the problem of disappearing attachments persists, may I know how it goes if you using Outlook desktop client? And I would like to collect your Microsoft 365 subscription product name.

We appreciate your time and understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Linda
