Why am I getting lots of junk mail from .xyz

It's ridiculous, anything from this domain is obviously a scam .

Please block it at source so I don't have to spend my time viewing this ****.

    It doesn't help at all.

    I want to be able to block third level domains that send me offensive mails - Microsoft must provide this service.

    You can if you pay for a business level service.

    Exactly, time to move to another service provider.

    I do not want t wake up every morning to junk mail that I have to scan because it may be useful.

    Dave, in this case you can create a rule, like the one from the print below, since unfortunately Microsoft does not allow it to block the whole xyz domain:
