Export email and calendar from one account to another

I've spent the past three hours trying to do something that should be trivial like in any other provider: go to calendar, click on settings, export. That's it.

However, there is no way to do so with Microsoft... In one of the many "support" links I have read, it said that I needed to install the Outlook app in Mac in order to export my email and calendar from one account to other. The link said to add both accounts to Outlook, then export from one and import to the other. Easy right? Well, not so fast, because the export actually doesn't let you choose an account, so both are exported, and when imported, content is imported in the same account.

I contacted support, and got no answer. I told her I wanted to export from Business Basic to Microsoft 365 Personal, and she quickly tried to end the conversation by saying  that I should contact business support them. After telling her that it doesn't matter, that I just can't export from one account and import to another, she started giving me misleading information... She just referred me to links that I had already told her that doesn't work. Is that the premium support we pay for in Personal / Family subscriptions?

The question is crystal clear I think... I have two Microsoft account, how can I export calendar and emails (contacts is possible..) from one to the other?

Outlook web: missing the option.

Android app: missing the option.

Outlook on Mac: exports all the accounts and import each of their own. So can't use it to export account A and import on B.

The calendar data would have transferred over had the first account been added as a "connected account" to the second account but given that you have already moved everything over, that becomes moot at this point.

I ended up sharing the calendar and duplicating event by event in order to transfer them from one calendar to the other.

Awful user experience compare to how trivial are other providers..

    Hello Elemenophy

Just to make sure I understand your question correctly

    • You have two Outlook.com accounts
    • You want to add the contents of one account to the other account

If the above correctly sums things up then the process is very simple

All you need to do is add the account that you want to "import" as a "connected account" to the other. When doing that you will have the choice of using the same set of folders or have the connected account use its own set of folders.

Please note that if you ever remove a connected account, it will not remove any existing data - that would have to be done manually should you want to do that.

Add your other email accounts to Outlook.com

If this isn't what you were actually, please clarify and we can go from there.
