To Do App not Syncing with Outlook on Computer

Hey there!

I am new on To Do List by Microsoft. I have an Android and then I have Surface Studio 2 and Surface Pro.

My email app is Outlook, app version on the computer.

Even though I have read that the phone app and Outlook app on the computer should sync automatically, that's not the case with me. 

Using same email in both platforms I open my outlook app on the computer, go to Tasks (lower left corner), and none of the tasks I imputed on my phone are reflected on Outllook. I restarted both the computer and phone but no success so far.

Please guidance would be super welcomed. since I want to be as efficient as I can!

    To confirm, you are using an Outlook.com account on your phone and in outlook desktop, correct? (The primary address needs to be outlook.com, Hotmail, live or msn domain.)

    Is the account configured in Outlook desktop as a Microsoft Exchange account? Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings to open the Account Settings dialog. The account type is to the right of the account name.

    If it is an exchange account, do new tasks in outlook sync up to outlook.com and into to-do app?

    Thank you so much for all your help and time.

    While I understand features are limited I still don't see the tasks from MS To Do List on my Outlook computer app. However I do see them on Outlook.com.

    Undoubtedly I prefer using the app since it keeps me on the flow. I am using the same email account both on the app and computer so I really don't know what's happening.

    Unfortunately it is not working. Let me give more detail.

    I have the To Do List app on my phone and I see I also have access to the To Do App on my computer. They both sync perfectly, both on my Android and on my computer.

    However, here my problem. I want to see if I have access to my to do list within Outlook computer app without the need to change apps, so I can keep being productive. 

    Given that context, **I assume my "to do lists" should appear under "My tasks" on Outlook computer app. Is that assumption correct?**attached a capture where I am highlighting. 

    I went ahead and created a task on my outlook computer app, but that task is not showing neither on my To Do List computer app nor phone app. So maybe To Do List & My Tasks (on Outlook) are a different thing? Although I was always under the impression Outlook computer app should also show my to do list. 

    I am sorry if this sounds too confusing :)
