Make added calender from the web appear as 'Busy' by default

Hi there,

I have added a calender from the web using a link. However, if someone wants to book me for a meeting, the appointment from the added calender does not appear when using the scheduling assistant i.e. the time slot appears to be free. This is despite the fact that I have added it to 'my calenders' and have set the appointment to 'Busy'

How do I ensure that the time slots of the appointments from the subscribed calender make me appear 'Busy' or 'Out of office'?

Any help is much appreciated

Using Office for business, and using the application on the Windows computer.

Best regards

    Hi TobbenDK,

Thank you for sharing your update with us.

As per your mentioned description about “because the added calender is not merged with my primary calender”, generally there are two method for adding calendar:

    1. Import a calendar into Outlook and
    2. Subscribe a calendar into Outlook.

So, regarding your mentioned reply, at once we would like to suggest you that you may try to import a calendar into Outlook. Here are some detailed steps and official information articles for achieving calendar related thing into Outlook.

    1. You can't add an Internet calendar in Outlook 2016, Outlook 2019 and Outlook for Office 365

    2. Import or subscribe to a calendar in Outlook on the web

For using google calendar into Outlook, here is the detailed information article for the reference purpose: See your Google Calendar in Outlook

Note: The imported calendar is a static snapshot. To update it, you need to subscribe to it or repeat this procedure to import a copy of the most current version of your calendar.

Hopefully above mentioned information will provide you some suitable thing for your concern requirement.

    Regards,

    Darpan

    Hi Darpan,

    I appreciate your follow-up.

In fact, the calender is not a shared calender but simply a calender which I subscribe to based on a web link. In addition, it is not one single event I need to mark as 'Busy' but all the events which is found in the calender I subscribe to.

I have added the calender ("Add calender" --> "From Internet") and I have now ensured that I can see all the appointments by using overlay. However, if a coworker of mine uses the scheduling assistant I appear to be free at the time slots where I actually have an appointment because the added calender is not merged with my primary calender. Do you have any suggestions as to how I should approach this? Any help is much appreciated.

    Best,
