How can I transfer Outlook signatures, Quick Parts and rules to a new PC?

Just got a new work PC and I have come to the realization that I will have to manually re-enter all my e-mail accounts into Outlook (mixture of POP and IMAP).  But is there a way I can transfer over the other Outlook data like my e-mail signatures, Quick Parts and e-mail rules?

We do not use an Exchange Server.

    Hello Bulk Hedd,

Due to how the POP /IMAP protocols work, we can’t sync Inbox rules, signatures, Quick Parts directly from one place to another, we can only sync user emails.

Outlook save user data in local data file and provide export options. We can export user items like emails, calendar events, contacts. Please kindly see this article if you need it: Export or backup email, contacts, and calendar to an Outlook .pst file. Please be kindly noted that this way doesn’t support exporting Outlook metadata like message rules, folder properties and blocked senders lists etc.

Regarding Inbox rule, you can try to export Inbox rule via Options -> Export Rules…, then in new laptop, try to import the file:

About Quick Parts, you may navigate to %AppData%\Microsoft\Templates (cope this path, paste in search field in File Explore and press Enter), copy “NormalEmail.dotm” file to the same location in new machine to see if it works. You could also copy entire Template folder and replace the same folder in new machine. Please back up the folder with the same name in new machine first.

For signatures, you may navigate to %AppData%\Microsoft, copy entire “Signature folder” and replace the same folder in the same location in new machine. Please back up the folder with the same name in new machine first.

    Kind Regards,

    Anna
