Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy
Hi Mustafato,
Thank you for posting here in the Microsoft Community Forum.
We understand that you’re having issues receiving a verification code that will be used to recover your email account. Let’s work on this together and we’ll do the best that we can to help you sort this out.
We appreciate your efforts and for taking the time to raise this concern with us. We know how important it is for you to get back with your account. In line with the verification code, there are instances that it is being directed to the junk email folder of the associated email account. Just to confirm, have you already checked the junk email folder and see if it may be directed there? Also, have you already tried marking @accountprotection.microsoft.com as a trusted sender, as this is the domain being used to send you the verification code and should go straight to your inbox? If you haven’t done these yet, you may try to do so. These steps may be able to help you in the verification code issues.
We see that you’ve already filled out the recovery forms multiple times and we know that you’ve provided all the information that you can think of about your account. Since the recovery form is the next option available if you’re still unable to receive verification codes and no other security information linked to the account, what we can provide are the tips that might help in recovering your account. You may check the following to fill out the form.
- When filling out the recovery form, on the subject line, you may try to add, if applicable:
- RE:
- FR:
- One specific word from the subject line. You may also ask a friend if they can help you to check the subject line you were able to send using the account.
- For the email: - either the sender or receiver.
- It will also be best to recover the account using a device where you usually sign-in to.
- For personal info - make sure to provide the same details you have entered upon creating the account.
You may also try to check if you have saved your credentials from another trusted device that you have used your account with like saved passwords from the browsers that might help you fill out the form.
We also have an article that you may utilize that contains additional tips and ways on how you can pass the validation. You may go through the section: Tips for filling out the recovery form.
Just in case that you’ll get the same issue after checking the junk email folder, adding @accountprotection.microsoft.com as a trusted sender, and filling out the recovery form again, we’d recommend that you contact our Microsoft account support team for further assistance. They have the necessary tools to check your account and may provide other alternatives in unblocking your account.
