Hi All ,

I had some issues with office and I removed the UBF8T346G9.ms  / UBF8T346G9.Office / UBF8T346G9.OfficeOsfWebHost.

I reinstall the office 2019 on my Mac and the problem went away however now I can not get my old outlook files previously saved in my computer.

I have a time machine backup and I copied UBF8T346G9.ms  UBF8T346G9.Office UBF8T346G9.OfficeOsfWebHost on the library / group container but I got not result. The backup file UBF8T346G9.Office is currently 54Gb so it has the complete history messages while the one I had when I reinstalled office is was only 150Mb.

Will you let me know how to make this link so the computer read it in outlook
Thank you

Hello ltrsego,

Generally, Outlook for Mac stores its identity in ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles/Main Profile.

Therefore, if you only want to get your old Outlook files, we recommend that you may close you Outlook for Mac firstly and delete the Outlook folder under the new created UBF8T346G9.Office file from **/Users/<your  home directory name>/Library/Group Containers/,**then copy the Outlook folder from the old UBF8T346G9.Office file back. After that, re-start Outlook to check how it goes.

If you need further assistance, to help you better and further, you’re recommended to contact our Outlook for Mac experts via the dedicated channel by going to Help -> Contact Support on Outlook menu bar. They’re our expert channel with more resources and knowledge for such kind of issues, believe they will provide further professional suggestions to you.

Best regards,

Jennifer

    Good evening

Thank you again for your promptly response. Just to let you know more I do have two users . One is the administrator that none use and the other one is the one I created with my name ltrsego. I have made all the changes in ltrsego I have followed all you said above and doesnt work. I meant I can see the historical data that was in outlook that I saved out of the inbox file into my PC.

The last thing I have tried is. I uninstall the office 2019 and also delete the previous UBF8T346G9.Office. Install it again and copied the complete UBF8T346G9.Office from the Time Machine backup and replaced by the new one created when it is installed. I can see the files in the inbox however no positive result on getting the all the historical files.

Below is a print out and I can see at the left bottom any file that was saved . This is the main issue I have . Thank you again for your support

    Hi

Jennifer gave you correct information. Here's a little more detail.

Outlook stores all information in Profiles. Most people have just one profile named Main Prifle, but there can be multiple profiles. A profile is a folder.

    Quoting Jennifer's very correct information:

Generally, Outlook for Mac stores its identity in ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles/Main Profile

If you put your old Main Profile folder back into that directory, all of your old content will be available to you.

    Other things to check:

Make sure your Outlook version is 16.45 by going to the Outlook menu and choosing About Outlook. Make sure New Outlook is turned off. Make sure Outlook is not running when you movie your Profile folders around.

    Good morning Jennifer,

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately it didn't work. I had the historical data separated per year and also separated incoming and outgoing files but I do not see them now either.

There only thing I see is that a synchronization was taking place and for some reason my available memory decreased substantially while syncronized so I am thinking that it looks like a duplication is taking place.

If you have any suggestion I appreciated.

I was trying to find the Help -> Contact Support on Outlook menu bar you mentioned above but I am not sure if that is after I open outlook of in this support web page.

    Thank you
