I've received the following email from Microsoft:
Hello,
Microsoft received a legal demand from the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on 28 September 2018 for data related to your Email account \[my email address\]@live.com.au. The request was served by the DOJ Criminal Division-Washington DC. Microsoft complied with the legal demand by providing responsive data on 4 October 2018.
The legal demand contained a non-disclosure order of limited duration. This non-disclosure prohibition has expired and Microsoft is now able to notify you of the existence of this legal demand.
Pursuant to Microsoft policy found here: https://blogs.microsoft.com/datalaw/our-practices/#does-microsoft-notify-users, Microsoft gives notice to users whose data is sought by a law enforcement agency or other governmental entity, except where prohibited by law.
Regards,
Law Enforcement National Security

In December 2019 I received a similar notice from Google, requested more information and was provided with a copy of the search warrant and gag order. The warrant was related to any possible communications with Julian Assange.
How can I contact Microsoft to request similar further documentation?

The help person on the Australian number told me to call the Office of Legal Compliance on +1 720 9046844. But I couldn't get through to a person on that number.
What phone # did you use for US? Or did you get someone and they had no idea, so they sent you to online help...
I've phoned the Microsoft number in Australia provided, and have been given a case number and a compliance number. I was then told to phone a US helpline, but that only redirected me back to online help, and I can't find anything online that actually helps with my request for further information.
Any idea where to go with this now? At the moment I'm just going in circles and getting nowhere. I need to find a way to contact Microsoft and request a copy of the DoJ warrant and non-disclosure order. I had a similar situation with Google just over a year ago: I emailed them and received a reply with the documents I needed. Seems to be rather more complicated to get anything from Microsoft!
Thanks for your reply Diane and thanks for the phone numbers.
No contact info is included. The email comes from usernote@microsoft.com. I've seen some references to that email address from years ago, as an address that can be used to contact Microsoft, so I've sent an email. No response after about a week so far though. I'll phone and see what happens.
Cheers :)
