Unable to Print - Cannot Print Unless an Item is Selected

Hi,

Recently, I started being unable to print emails from Outlook. Print Preview no longer functions, and I receive the message:

In other posts, I've seen suggested to search for "OutlPrnt," but that file cannot be found. Additionally, other posts suggest %AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook as the location of the file, but there is no Outlook folder under Microsoft. Appreciate any help that can be offered.

    Mac,

While poking around Account Settings in Outlook, I realized that we've been using the free version of the Outlook App that comes pre-installed with Windows, instead of Outlook 365 that comes bundled with Office. I switched to the full version of Outlook, which did not have any issues printing (and did, in fact, create the Outlook directory in %AppData%\Microsoft).

Thanks very much for your willingness to help fix the issue!!

    Hi Nick,

    Greetings.

Thank you for raising your concern in this community.

You can locate the Outlprnt file in your win10 this way: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook

After that you can rename it to outlprnt.old.

Please let me know your findings.

    Regards,
    Mac

    Hi Mac,

Thanks very much for your reply! Unfortunately, inside the Microsoft directory there is no Outlook directory, only an Office directory. No Outlook directory in that one, either, nor did a search for Outlprnt starting from Microsoft yield any results.

    Appreciate your assistance!

    Nick
