I updated my profile picture, so why is my old photo still at the top right of my online account?

Here's an illustration?

    Hi DottyR!

I am an independent Community consultant and it is important to me to ensure that all your questions are answered and that you have a positive experience.

I know how annoying this is and if you just made the changes, know that the process takes time to synchronize on the servers.

To update your profile, simply go to https://account.microsoft.com/profile

Another detail: Do you use this Email account on any Social Network, Games, apps or associated with another account?

It's also nice to check that the information in your Skype profile matches the information in your Outlook.com profile: https://secure.skype.com/portal/profile

This also happens if your address is saved in the address book with the old information or it has not yet been synchronized with the server, which can take some time after the changes.

On Outlook.com, make sure your email address is saved in your calendar with other information. https://outlook.live.com/people/0/

If you still have any questions, please reply with the details to help you out.

    Thanks for using the Community.
