New email notifications at Archive folder

I started using Rules to move some emails from the Inbox to Archive folder automatically. However, when I receive one of those emails, Outlook icon in the task bar doesn’t change to the “envelope” icon.

Basically I want to keep notified if I received any of those emails.

Is there a way to configure the icon to turn to “envelope” when there is an unread email at Archive?

Alternatively, is there a way to configure the Rules to move only Read messages to Archive folder?

Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.

Unfortunately, that's not the way Outlook.com works. It notifies you only when a message is delivered to the Inbox and stays there. If you were using desktop Outlook to access the mailbox, you could add an action that would notify you at the time of the move, but web-based Outlook doesn't have that action available.
