My account was hacked, and the hacker change my phone number unlinked my other secure secondary email.

I has used the get back account function to retrieve my email account back, but all mails in the account has been deleted, the worse phone number is the hacker's phone number. I'm so afraid now, this account has been with me more than 15 years. Can someone help??? I hate clicking through all the questions and answers but just no human being is present to simply help......

Sorry. The link is https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus. I mistyped.

Thanks a lot, i had tried push my luck, but it doesn't work. I stuck at the very first step. In order to view activity, i needed to solve the phone number issued. While the phone number is already changed to the hacker's phone number, I have submitted request to changed back, but it seems need to wait for a month!!!....

I don't understand why the hacker can changed my phone number instantly .... while the owner needed a month for the number to change back.

Hi. I'm Brian, an Independent Advisor.

You say you submitted the recovery form. Does that mean you can get back into the account now? If you can, then make sure there are no forwarding rules and that your autoforwarding is disabled. Also check the Deleted Items and Recover Deleted Messages folders for your old mail. Log into https://account.live.com/ and add a new phone number for yourself. Also enable two-factor authentication and set up more than one method of authentication.

You're correct that there is little human help for issues with Outlook.com. Free services have no support. Even if you could get through to a human (you can try at https://support.live.com/en-us/contactus/), they still couldn't help reset your password. You could try writing to @MicrosoftHelps and @Outlook on Twitter. Google is the same way: no human support other than forums like thisone.

Just so there's no confusion, these are user-to-user forums and we don't work for Microsoft.

Alas, there is no way to circumvent that 30 day wait. So sorry. I hope the information I provided will prove useful once that period ends.

Sadly, the above 3 links are not accessible:

Here is the Quote of message i received when i try to access it.

You can't access this site right now

This site requires a security code to sign in.

When your security info updates on 8/6/2021 you will be able to access this site.

You can still access sites such as Outlook and Skype that don't require a security code.

But i tried to access my account info:

Phone number None Your phone number is used to sign in to your Microsoft account

It shows my phone number is None, from there i cannot further access another other links like "sign in preference"/"Activity history"/"Security Updates" etc,. When i try to access All that function, i will receive the above message, which ask me to wait til Aug.

You ask a good question about the phone number. I believe that the hacker has been sharing your account unnoticed for a while and changed your recovery phone number 30 or more days ago. Since you did not need to recover the account during that time, you did not notice the phone number had changed. Once the change was final, the hacker changed your password and locked you out. This is only a guess on my part.

I've given you all I can, with one exception. This tool may be able to help you recover some of the deleted mail: https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/o...
