Outlook sign in issues

Starting Nov 1,2021 I was asked on my outlook email button on my android to put in a password. For hundreds of attempts and going to 24/7 Talkie for $199 fee, I/we have been unsuccessful in logging on to my Outlook email on my LQ android. Outlook has blocked me for too many attempts. Now ATT is blocking me because of all the attempts to log in. ATT places a 24 hour lock on the account when that occurs. No one to talk to at Microsoft! Believe me I have tried everything. Even tried to reload the app on my android phone.

As of 11/10/2021 I cannot sign into Outlook app. It is pretty disgusting that Microsoft does not offer someone (tech service) to handle situations like this. Displays too many attempts which is only attempt in days and after reloading app on my cell phone. Code 205.2 (LU003)

    Hi Smokin Scott,

Welcome to Microsoft Office Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well.

We understand that you are trying to fix your issue about unable to login to your outlook app using your login credentials**.** Let’s us check on this together and sort this out. Rest assured, we will do anything in our capability to assist you with your concern.

So, here are some troubleshooting procedures that I can offer.

Kindly check first if you can access your account using the web browser:

    1.open your google browser

    2.search for outlook.com

    3.sign in with your account

If you are able to sign in to your account using the procedures below, continue with the rest of the troubleshooting steps below.

Note: You must update the Outlook app on your Android or iOS device regularly. That should patch out any known issues preventing your email, calendars, or contacts from syncing.

    (Update Outlook on Android )

    1. Open the Google Play Store.
    2. Bring up the Google Play menu and tap the My apps & gamesoption.
    3. Select the Updateoption next to Outlook.

    (Remove/Re-add Email Account)

If the Outlook app is still not syncing, it’s a good idea to remove and re-add any problematic email accounts.

    1. Open Outlook and switch to the Mailtab.
    2. Bring up the Outlook sidebar.
    3. Tap the Settingsicon.
    4. Pick the email account under the Email Accounts section.
    5. Select Delete Account.
    6. Select Deleteto confirm.

    (Reinstall Outlook App )

If removing and re-adding your email account (or accounts) didn’t help, try reinstalling Outlook.

Start by deleting the Outlook app from your Android or iPhone. Then, reboot your Android or iOS device, reinstall them via the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, and set everything up from scratch.

    (Reset Network Settings on Android)

    1. Open the Settingsapp.
    2. Select System
    3. Select Reset.
    4. Tap Network settings reset.
    5. Tap Network Settings Resetto confirm.

We look forward to your response. If you have other clarifications about this matter, you can get back to us by replying to this post.

I have not reinstalled Outlook on my android cell phone. ATT had/has a problem with reinstallations. I spent 100 hours and over $300 to try to solve the issues last week. There is no way to contact Microsoft in person which is very frustrating to try to get answers. At one time Microsoft inactivated my word account and I could not complete business correspondence! I have not ventured to reinstall Outlook app on my cell phone as I still fear getting locked out of Microsoft and ATT accounts again!
