'Microsoft account team' message in junk. Phish report?

So I need some help. I just received a 'flagged as important' email in the Junk Mail; the addresser was from 'Microsoft account team', and the Subject was labeled as 'Microsoft account security info was added'. It explained- before I clicked on 'Show blocked images' -that the following security info was added to Microsoft account **my email**. Then it shows a gmail that I don't recognize in a bullet point, followed by the statements of 'If this was you' and 'If this wasn't you'.

After I clicked the button to show blocked images, the 'It was not me' button turned into a HUGE read of texts- including parts of my email address.

Here's the image for further context:

I didn't click on any of the links in the message [because I'm not that bold], but I would like to know if this was the actual Microsoft team warning me; otherwise should I report them as a fake, or block them?

    You should be safe.

It's just a malilto button, which only opens your predefined email client and add a recipient. This will be used to send the scammer your information.

This is a dangerous phishing email!

I've got the same and the actual sender of the email seems to be an official Microsoft account! Thank goodness is just a mailto link.

I have received same email. First time I was stupid and clicked on the "It was not me" button. What looked like an draft email popped up and I did not click send. But I am worried that the phish was loading some kind of tracking software onto my computer.

Does anyone know what damage is done if one clicks on the "it was not me" button?
