I have really limited free disk space and I want to run an exported virtual machine in place.

When importing - Is there a way to not copy already exported virtual machine in another place and run in in the "exported folder"?
Just to run a virtual machine.

    Hi,

When importing a Hyper-V virtual machine you have three (3) options:

    1. Register the Virtual Machine In-Place (Use the Existing Unique ID)
    2. Restore the Virtual Machine (Use the Existing Unique ID)
    3. Copy the Virtual Machine (Create a New Unique ID)

If you choose the first option "Register the Virtual Machine In-Place (Use the Existing Unique ID)" then none of the source files are moved or changed in any way.
