Recently updated to Windows 11. Every link to a browser window that I click opens by default in Edge. I want them to open in Google Chrome. Can someone tell me how to do this?

Thanks!

    Hi VickyMarshall,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and appreciate your time taken for sharing detailed information. I understand that Opening links in Outlook messages to open in Google Chrome. I am glad to offer you help on this issue.

You have upgraded to Windows11, which is different from Windows10. Windows11 sets the default browser to open different links(e.g. HTML, MHTL, HTTPS), and it can set the default browser to open that link separately. It depends on the format of your links in Outlook messages. You could try to do the following:

To change the default browser for opening links in Outlook, you can try the following steps:

    1. Open Windows 11 Settings.
    2. Click on “Apps”.
    3. Click on “Default apps”.
    4. Scroll down to the bottom and select “Choose defaults by link type”.
    5. Scroll down and locate “HTTP” and “HTTPS”.
    6. Click on the icon on the right and change your default browser to Google Chrome.

Hope this works. If any updates, welcome to share them with us.

    Best Regard,
