Bad Mailbox Error

I'm supposed to be part of a group mailing list for work related items, and for some reason, the "newsletter" emails I'm supposed to be receiving aren't coming through at all, though when the person emails me directly, I get the emails no problem.

The sender finally sent me one of the bounce-back emails they received, and they are getting the following error.

"Diagnotic-Code: smtp;552 5.2.0 <senders emails address> sender rejected AUP#SNDR

X-PowerMTA-BounceCategory: bad-mailbox"

I use the Outlook app on my desktop for my email, though my email provider is a different company. Can someone help me figure out why I'm not getting these newsletters/group mailings, but I can get individual emails directly from the sender?

    Hi Shyamal,

Unfortunately the program I'm using isn't that advanced, lol. I'm using Office Home & Business 2013.

I've already added the sender to my safe senders list, but as I mentioned, they have no problems emailing me when it's just me they are emailing. The issue only arises when I'm part of a group message, which unfortunately usually contains information I should be aware of.

I'll check my private message for what you sent. Thanks!

    Hi Sweetsmurf,

Thank you for posting. May I know whether you are using Office 365 Exchange online account or any 3rd party ISP account?

You may try to add the sender IP addresses/email address or domain to allowed/safe senders list to check this issue.

If you are using Office 365 Exchange online and have admin permission can create IP Allow List to specify the source IP address or address range in the connection filter policy. See Create safe sender lists in EOP

Moreover, please provide us with the detailed NDR via the private message for further analysis. Here is the link to access private message: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/privatemessage/inbox

    Your cooperation is highly appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Shyamal
