I understand that you encountered "imap server wants to alert you to the following: 1014" when using the IMAP mailbox on Outlook for Windows. Due to the limited information and lack of data, we may need some detailed information:
- What type of service provider does the email account currently configured in Outlook for Windows belong to, such as @Outlook.com/@Gmail.com/@Yahoo.com
- The current error code 1014 doesn't seem to be enough to tell the cause of the whole problem, whether it's followed by detailed information like "requires a new password" or "invalid credentials, large email, etc."
- If it's convenient for you, try to share with us a screenshot of the interface where the problem occurs.
