Configuring preferences and options in Outlook.com
Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.
Sounds like you may have accidentally sorted by sender. Click Filter>Sort>Date and see if that helps. See the attached example.

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
My hotmail.com emails were automatically changed to group all email. I did not do it. MSN Support "answers" either don't work, are circular, or simply don't make sense. They have no good answers. How can I revert to individual messages that are NOT grouped?

Gene,
This may explain why your sort changed.
When you are using any browser to access an outlook.com account, all of the message list headers are clickable to make the sort be by that column.
Each folder can have a different sort setting.
For the Inbox and other folders, From, Subject, and Received are column headings.
The clickable areas are in red.
You also can click on Filter > Sort > Date
An arrow (in the green circle) shows which column controls the sort.
Left click on Received to change the sort.
Hi, Raech, and thanks for your prompt response which I do appreciate. Unfortunately, I had already tried that fix and it did not work or help in any way. Nevertheless, thanks for trying to help. Please let me know if you have any other possible solutions. Email "grouping" takes more time to find email and is quite frustrating! Gene
Hi Island! This is Raech. I'm an Outlook.com user like you and I'm happy to help.
On your Outlook page, click Settings (gear icon top right) and select View all Outlook settings. On the pop up menu under Layout, scroll down to 'Message organization' and select 'Show email as individual messages'.
Let me know if this helps.
