Emails from my organization are most often ending up in spam

In the last couple of months, more often than not emails that I send from my business email address go to my clients' spam folder.

Even emails between my organization (we all have the same domain @ address) will go to spam---if I email an employee my email goes to their spam and if the employee emails me that email also ends up in spam.

What has changed that so many of our work emails are going to spam? It's a big problem because emails constantly get missed. How can this be resolved?

EDIT: Moved FROM Outlook / Outlook.com / Email TO Outlook / Outlook on the web for business / Email.

Thanks for replying back, CSP_MW! And my apologies for the late reply. Had one of those extended weekend offs.

So based on the answers you provided the spam issue between organization emails is strictly an issue that should be handled by the IT department of your organization. You as a member of that organization or one of your co-workers should know how to contact the IT department. We here in Microsoft would not have an idea on how you can contact your organization's IT department.

Also, if you use https://outlook.office365.com/ for accessing emails that definitely means you need to contact the IT department for help because they have full control of that email address.

So far it's only the GoDaddy email address issue that I might be able to help here. So this address totally separate from your organization email?

On that assumption, do you get a bounce message when sending an email to anyone using the GoDaddy email address? So a bounce message is a notification that is automatically sent to the sender if an email is not delivered to the recipient for various reasons. It would really help if you get that message when sending emails.

Thanks again for choosing Microsoft! We’re here when you need us.

I am a sole proprietor of a small business---we do not have an IT department.

I simply pay for email addresses with my business domain name (@centeredstudiopilates.com) through Microsoft with GoDaddy server. Those emails I send through Microsoft Outlook with my business email address go to spam---there is no bounce message. When my employees email me, their messages also go to spam with no bounce message. We've added each other to our contacts and click 'not spam' to report it, but it keeps happening.

But it sounds like even though my business email is paid and used through Microsoft and the emails are going to spam in my Microsoft Outlook account, you can't actually help me?

    Dear CSP_MW

I'm following up on this thread.

Glad to be of assistance. Before moving forward may I confirm the following to help provide the necessary trouble shooting steps

    • You mentioned you pay for your email addresses with your domain name, may I confirm what subscription you're using?
    • Is your Domain hosted in Office 365?
    • Do you have access to the Office admin center? I ask this because the possible solutions for this would require one to have access to the Office 365 admin center.

We look forward to your reply.

    Sincerely,

    Hi CSP_MW!

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum. Please accept our warmest regards and sincerest hope that all is well.

From the description you provided it seems you're having some issues sending emails using your business email address. Apparently emails you send end up on the spam folder of recipients.

This issue could be caused by a setting in the business email address that might have been changed recently. So let us work together as a team to get to the bottom of this.

To better assist you though I need to ask:

    1. What are you using to send e-mails? Are you using an e-mail client or application like Outlook with the business email address added? Or are you just using your favorite web browser and logging in to the business email address?
    2. What email account are you having an issue with? You don't have to tell me the actual email account. I just need to know if it's @Outlook.com or @Gmail.com or @Yahoo.com or something else.
    3. Since this involves a business email address have you contacted the IT department for help on this? What did they have to say?

    1. How long have you had this issue? Days? Weeks? Months?

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Respectfully,

    Hi Glenn,

    Thank you for your response.

    To answer your questions

    1. My employees and I use Google Chrome browser to log-in to email from https://outlook.office365.com/ and we also use the Outlook iphone app.
    2. The email account type is the custom @businessname addresses that I pay for through GoDaddy for my business.
    3. I haven't yet contacted the IT department. Could you please provide me with contact info to do that?
    4. We've been having this issue for about 2 months.
