Outgoing Spam Filters

Is there such a thing as an outgoing spam filter? I send out three large emails each morning, and have done so for years, on the order of 10 MB. This not sent to unsolicited addressees - everyone asks me to send it. This morning, I could not get it send because I kept getting told I had spam content. What is considered spam content? I have text and historical images. Occasionally I include a link to a YouTube video, but that's may once a month. Who is it that is telling me that my mail is spam? I sent the same message from two different ISP mail accounts - both gave me an identical message saying my message had spam content.

    Yes, if Norton is scanning email, it could be the culprit.

    Disable email scanning in Norton program and look in Outlook's addins - File > Options > Addins - if there is a Norton Addin listed, click Go button at the bottom of the dialog (COM addins should be selected by default) and uncheck the Addin.

    This happened again this morning, but with slightly different results. I sent one email to one person, and the message went through. Sent an identical message about two minutes later to another friend, and it was blocked - sending me the following:

    "Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

          Subject:     Today

          Sent:  6/25/2022 7:50 AM

    The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

         xxxxxxx on 6/25/2022 7:51 AM

                554 5.7.1 [VO-1] Message blocked due to spam content in the message.

    So how do I even start to solve a problem that is as inconsistent as this?

    Yest - two completely different ISPs one a .net and the other a .com with nothing in common. Both sent identical spam error messages.

    Thank you - I guess that helps. In the email in question, I had one link. I removed it and the message still wouldn't send. I tried two different ISPs and got identical messages about spam content. Might this be my own Norton firewall doing this to me? I can't see anything in Outlook that would be blocking my outgoing mail. Yesterday, I sent a similarly large email, with several links, and no problems. I am writing about military history - not sure that spammy words were used - if I understand the term. Thanks for your thoughts.

    Many mail servers have check outgoing mail for spam - its to keep them off black lists if a spammer hacks an account. Most servers also have incoming spam filters.

    Two addresses on one ISP or two different ISPs?

    Spam content can be too many links, links that contain IP addresses, words or phrases that sound spammy. There is no hard and fast rule though, otherwise the spammers would craft better emails.
