Transferring cached Exchange emails from old iPhone to new one for a deactivated account

I used Apple's Quick Start to transfer data from an old iPhone to a new one. It worked flawlessly except that it did not carry over the cached email in an Exchange account that was being accessed through Apple's default Mail program. Unfortunately the Exchange account is no longer active, so I cannot log into it and re-cache the old mail. Would anyone have suggestions for how to accomplish this transfer? Note that Gmail and Yahoo cached email did automatically transfer. Thanks in advance for the help!

    Hello User,

I'm Diane, an Office Apps & Services MVP specializing in Outlook, and I’m happy to help you today.

If the account can't be logged into, it can't be transferred. you might be able to find an app that will download the cached mail to a computer - but that will be the only way to save it. Sorry.
