I have Outlook 365 and cannot sort my email folders alphabetically. If I add them to my "Favorites" I can move them around so they show alphabetically, but this would require all my folders show in "favorites". Please advise

I don’t have or see that option. Maybe I don’t have the right version of Outlook to sort

It appears from the screenshots you sent (in private message) that you're using Outlook on the Web, hence the previous reply was just for Outlook client. The folders in Outlook on the web are sorted alphabetically. Currently, the folder list's sort order cannot be modified. In order to use a specific order, right-click on a folder and choose Add to Favorites from the menu. Right click and use the Move up or down the list instructions to reorder folders.

    Hi mjohnson2910,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Forum.

Based on your description, you want to sort Outlook email folders alphabetically, this is done by default. In Outlook, click Folder and see if “Show All Folders A to Z” is highlighted; if it is, all folders are sorted alphabetically. At this time, when you right-click any folder, the “Sort subfolder A to Z” option is not available.

You may sort Outlook folders alphabetically by right-clicking the account or inbox folder and then select the sort subfolders A to Z options.

If it's not working for you, please include the detailed Outlook client version and email account in a private message.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best Regards,

    De Paul

Which operating system are you running? Have you installed the full Office suite on your computer?
