I tried multiple multiple times filling the form for account verification and every single time it failed. Pleaseeee HELP me. This is my only personal email account and everything I use on daily basis is linked to it. Pleaseeee team Microsoft help me out. I really need assistance. I can't even login to things which I use in day to day life. My phone has really old and I want to switch to a new one but I am afraid to do so as I don't remember the password for the hotmail account and won't be able to login to some apps. Pleaseeee help me.

    Hello Bhavya

Hi, I'm Karl and will be happy to help you today.

First, just so there is no misunderstanding, this is a public user-to-user support forum. We're users just like you helping other users. We do not work for Microsoft and have no access to any user account so there is nothing we can do or check from within the forum. We have no input on Microsoft's policies, procedures, or design decisions.

While I realize that you are going to find the rest of this answer very, very frustrating, it is the only answer that applies to what you have described. No one can provide an alternative solution that does not exist.

Unfortunately there is only one way to recover an email account and that is via the Microsoft Account Recovery form and if that fails after repeated attempts (up to 2 times a day), the account is effectively lost. There is no way to recover an account any other way. The form only applies if 2 factor authentication has <NOT> been enabled and you have successfully logged into the account within the last one year period

***If you have your browser on your PC set to remember passwords, you may be able to find the correct password for this account by reviewing the browser's password history.

There is also no point in trying to contact Microsoft Support for an account that you cannot access as described at the top of the following article
