Outlook does not display email contents

My Outlook seems broken. It doesn't display the contents of emails I receive. In none of the view modes.

For example in compact and single view mode only the headers are shown. When I select an email there is nothing in the main panel. If I double click them to open them in separate window I get the message "Sorry, we´re having trouble opening this item. This should be temporary, but if you see it again you might want to restart Outlook." I've tried restarting and it doesn't help.

Also, a short while after starting Outlook I get a message saying "Cannot show your next reminder."

I found topics that led me to try resetting the view (View menu > Current View > Reset View), and also running Outlook with the command argument /cleanviews. None of those helped either.

Please help, I can't read any of my emails!
