Hello,
I am using Outlook in Office 365 on a Windows 10 computer. My Outlook Inbox is pretty full, and today when I wanted to look at emails from a specific date, I found I could not. Typing <Ctrl>G, which is how I recall being able to jump to a specific date in the past, did nothing. There was nothing like a "Go To" command anywhere in my ribbon that I could find. But, when I looked at customizing my ribbon there was a command called "Go To Date" that I could add to the ribbon, so I did. The problem is that now that it's on my ribbon, it is also greyed out.
So, I am looking for help. My big goal is to be able to jump to particular date in my inbox. Parenthetically, I don't want to search for emails from a particular date. I can do that now, but sometimes I just want to start browsing at a certain date, and I'd like to be able to jump to it.
Can I do something to get this "Go To Date" command that I put on the ribbon to work? Does somebody know how to change it from greyed out to normal? I understand that might not be possible. For all I know, it's only supposed to work on the Calendar, which would explain why it's greyed out while I'm looking at the Inbox.
Is there some other way of solving the problem? Is there another command I should use for this purpose? If so, what is it?
I would be grateful for any help on this. Thank you.
John
