Can you delegate a specific occurence of a reoccuring meeting to an alternate host? Or can a meeting be created with 2 hosts?

Hi all,

I am trying to find a way to delegate a specific occurance of a meeting to an attendee, or create a reoccuring meeting with 2 hosts?

Context:

I run a weekly meeting every Thursday 1000-1100am, I have created the placeholder.
A colleague or myself facilitate this meeting on alternate weeks.

Each week before the meeting I need to either;

  1. If hosting - Open this specific occurence and add a meeting room to the meeting and send an updated.
  2. In not hosting - Cancel the place holder so my colleague can send an updated meeting invite with room details.

Additionally if i am on leave I would like my colleague to be able to update the existing place holder rather then having to create a second meeting.

I have tried assigning permission to my calander but this is providing my colleague with full access to all meetings.

Is there any way to add a co-host or delegate?

Thanks for your help.

Sean

    Hello Sean_7147,

    Good day! Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

     I understand you want to co-host a recurring meeting, i.e. allowing another user to update the meeting without giving them full access to your calendar.

    After through research and consultations it has been concluded that the feature you are inquiring about is not yet available. However, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention, your suggestion is very helpful, and I believe it could make the use of Outlook even better. We will surely raise your concerns to our Product Development Team and hopefully this can be included in the future updates.

    In the meantime, I have found an entry in the Feedback Portal that was posted yesterday, requesting for a similar feature, and has had about 50 upvotes already showing important this feature is to users. Create Meeting Invite Co-Owner · Community (microsoft.com)I have asked my team to vote, and you can share your vote and comments there as well. Our Product Development Team are committed to enhancing the customer experience by continually examining suggestions to include in the design and development of future product upgrades based on your suggestions. Hopefully, your suggestion will help many users in the future.

    Thank you for your time and understanding. For other questions, feel free to add your post in the Microsoft Community.
