Where are reactions on outlook?

On my University outlook I can react to an email by clicking a thumb up reaction to acknowledge rather than having to send a reply.

I now I have outlook for my job and I only have these options and the three dots don't offer an option to react. Is it because it is a business account rather than education?? I've googled and tried some changes in the settings options but still no luck.

    Hello,

I also am experiencing the same issue when using the Outlook desktop client (Version 2301 Build 16.0.16026.20002). It appears the emoji reaction buttons are missing. Any help that you can provide is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Microsoft 365 enterprise is the version (ascertained from the link you sent)

No, I have the option for a reaction emoji in outlook on the web

Its not to just add an emoji in the body of a message, it to react to an email as an alternative to clicking reply. (se screenshots offered in original message)

    Thanks 😊

As per your last reply I think you got that reaction emoji option. If not, make sure that you have updated to latest version 2211 (Build 15831.20190). As you said, yes we can react to an email as an alternative to clicking reply with the latest version see screenshot below.

    Hello Sally,

Thank you for your detailed response.

May I get the full version of Outlook as shown in the screenshot below so we can see the Build and Channel you are using.

    Image

The reason we ask for the version in this case is because some of the older versions and channel do not have this feature of emoji reactions for replying to emails.

    Screenshot for your reference:

Also, if you can test if the step in this document works for you, please feel free to let me know.

We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Hello Sally Griffiths1,

Thank you for choosing the Microsoft Community! We are happy to help you.

I understand you cannot find reactions on your business account, but you could see them with your education account. Please correct me if I am wrong.

You should be able to use reactions in a business account as well, may I know what version of Outlook do you have? What version of Outlook do I have? - Microsoft Support. Is it the same with Outlook Desktop and Outlook on the Web?

Kindly try to apply reactions following the steps below and let me know the result:

    1. Put your cursor where you want the emoji.
    2. Press Windows key + . (period) to open the Windows Emoji picker.
    3. Select a symbol to insert it in your email message.
    4. When you're done, select × to close the emoji picker.

For more details, please see Add flair to your email with emojis - Microsoft Support

We look forward to hearing from you; Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Simbarashe | Microsoft Community Moderator
