Hi all,
We have thousands static records(servers and workstations which are not in use) through years. I am brainstorming your ideas on how to clean them up.

You could consider dnscmd /ageallrecords

then turn on some scavenging.

Thanks for the follow up. the ageallrecords would stamp on static server records which we can not turn on this.
as we want servers DNS to be static. tried to think about to ping all static ones, delete it when ping fails. anyone out here
share some script if done before?
