Discount coupons are now appearing in outlook mail on several websites. I changed browsers, installed ad blockers, ran adware removal apps, antivirus and malware programs. Nothing has worked.

Ben, you are validating what I previously stated regarding needing a subscription to remove ads from Outlook mail. What about the $150.00 paid for Microsoft 2019 Student Home and Office currently installed on my computer which provided Outlook as part of the package? I have the product key.

This situation is unacceptable! Unless you have a specific resolution to this problem, I intend on contacting Microsoft executive management since this is obviously above your pay grade.....

Dave as a follow-up, I now know that the coupons appearing on Outlook mail are as a result of Microsoft intentionally wanting customers to sign up for Microsoft 365 to eliminate the problem. I find this to be disturbing especially during these difficult economic times. The following appears along with a logo to encourage subscription:

"Looking for an ad-free experience Microsoft 365 subscribers see no ads in Outlook"

Dave, thank you for your response. Yes, I logged into my outlook mail account from a different computer. The problem was there as well. I can access my msn mail directly with the Microsoft Edge Browser…..no coupons! I also have an AOL mail account which is accessed with Firefox……no coupons. This seems to indicate a malware issue within Outlook.

    Hi there,

My name is Dave, I'm a Microsoft Community member, and user just like yourself. I'm happy to assist you.

To clarify, These discount coupon notices are popups in Outlook webmail, or are they emails you are receiving?

If they're actual popups in Outlook webmail not from Microsoft, then it sounds like it could be adware. Removal tools may not get rid of it 100%, and to be certain any adware or malicious software is completely gone, it is best to reinstall your OS. Do you have access to another device you can login to Outlook on and see if the issue persists there?

Please let me know if this helps, or if you require any more assistance,

    Thank you

    Kind Regards,

    Dave

Dave, the coupons only appear on email messages from retailers such as Costco, Walmart, Best Buy, Dell, etc. They are discount coupons that appear at the time the message is opened. Again, the coupons only appear when mail is opened with Outlook. I noticed a comment by Microsoft providing a multi option response regarding opinion on the addition of these coupons. I selected to delete, which was then forwarded to a survey organization.

Sorry, couldn’t provide a screen shot or attachment.
