Email Acknowledgement Without Replying

Hi, Community ~ In an effort to find new ways to streamline email communication, more specifically, unnecessary email communication I'm just throwing out a dream update I'd LOVE to see from Microsoft Outlook out into the universe in hopes all my dreams come true.

Wouldn't it be amazing if we could acknowledge an email was received & reviewed, where it's not necessary to follow up w/ a specific response & but also would be great to let the sender know it was received, all w/out having to actually send an email back letting someone know we got it.

Sort of a "like" on social medium & similar to a read receipt that's currently available in Outlook. Instead of having the sender be the one to require read receipts across all the emails they send, a recipient can "like" or "acknowledge" the email to let the sender know it was received. A sender could then view who specifically acknowledged their email like how we can see who's "liked" our social media posts.

May be wishful thinking, but I've already seen how much email communication has reduced w/ the addition of using Teams. I can only imagine how nice it would be to keep that reduction going to what ends up in our inboxes is the most necessary & efficient communication!
