Outlook Calendar changes not showing up in Google Calendar

Hello there!

I have Outlook email and Calendar (and I'm not sure what else) through work. I shared my main Outlook Calendar to my personal Google Calendar account by importing the Outlook .ICS URL (found in Outlook.com > Settings > Calendar > Shared Calendars) into GC. All events show up usually, but this past week I haven't seen event changes showing up in GC, even more than 24 hours after the changed event passed. I can't find any way to manually force a sync/update.

What can be done to ensure event changes to my Outlook Calendar show up in my Google Calendar? This is important for me because I have a long-established system of meeting reminders based around my Google Calendar, and whether OC supports that setup or not it would be too much work to redo it all for this 1 calendar.

Thanks in advance,

Grant

    Hi,

I am trying to sync my Outlook and Google calendars for the first time and, of course, I have the same issue you have. :)

After thousands of tests, I couldn't understand why Google Calendar is not showing the new/changed events created/changed on my Outlook calendar.

I found some comments around that it seems that Microsoft (or Google) does the sync a few times per day... you can wait for 24h and check.

The only way that I found to force the sync is by:

    • resetting the link (ICS) on Outlook Web
    • removing the calendar on Google and then
    • creating a new calendar with the resetted link.

Any one else has another suggestion?

I'm having the same problem, have tried the same solutions and have come to the conclusion that the problem is not going to be addressed by Microsoft. They would rather us all use Outlook Calendar only. My next test is to see how well everything syncs from Google Calendar to Outlook Calendar. If there are no compatibility issues, then my suspicions will be confirmed.

It won't keep working. You'll need to reset regularly. Although if by some chance that isn't the case it would be great if you can report back on the exact steps you took and settings you selected that allowed it to work.

Having the same issue. New Team meetings that I create on outlook are not showing up in GC. However, other invitations I get for team meetings do. Can't figure out why. Will stay tuned for any answers here. Thanks!

I am having a similar problem with multiple users at my company. I was able to narrow this issue down to Samsung phones. Pixel phones are not experiencing it. The iPhones we have are not using Google calendar and do not experience it.

We use Outlook 2016 with on prem Exchange 2013 servers. Not all events are syncing to the Google calendar.

Some are tasks, some are reoccurring tasks and calendar invites, some are single calendar invites. Some are new, some are old. It's very random.

These phones are managed by Intune company profiles. We have removed company portal, wiped the devices, reset them up and get the same results
