Hello,

My name is Leonardo Miquel. My account was strongly hacked. I had to create other account to write this report.

I tried all the procedures that Microsoft suggests to get it back, but I don´t get any results.

I tried to fill a form with emails and their subsjects and and my secret question's answer, as well as an alternative contact email. They sent an email to my alternative email saying that my request is omited, since the 2 factor authentication was enabled (by the Hacker).

Please, help.

Thank you.

    Dear Raech,

Fortunately I could recover my account.

I got to this link https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact?linkquery=Hacked%20account

Once there, a person chatted with me and helped to get my account back, even when the hacker set the 2 factor authentication. Thankfully, it was possible.

I wanted thank you because I know tried to help and hope this information could help other people.

    Kind regards,

    Leonardo Miquel

The automated forum Raech mentions cannot work when 2FA is enabled. See this article for the best approach: How do I reset my Microsoft Account password if the Two-Step - Microsoft Community

Hi Leonardo. Currently the only method of recovery is via the Account Recovery form below, and this is fully automated.

    https://account.live.com/acsr

However, as mentioned, with 2-step turned on this would not be possible. (see attached screenshot) For reference, please visit the link below.

The issue has been reported several times in the past and the answer, I'm sorry to say, has always been the same.

Hi Leonardo! This is Raech. I'm a fellow Outlook.com user and I'm very sorry to hear about the hacking incident.

Just so there is no misunderstanding, this is a public user-to-user community forum. None of us here work for Microsoft and it is beyond our capability to assist directly with account or login-related issues.

As much as I would like to offer a solution to recover your hacked account, unfortunately with two-factor authentication turned on, there is no way to recover the account. I'm sincerely sorry for this.

    With regards,

    Raech C.
